Pumpstu.co.uk is owned by Pumpstu Ltd (company number 15720078, registered office Bishop's Stortford, England), which is the data controller for personal information collected through this website.
Personal information we collect:
When you contact us through this site, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, property address (so we can attend site visits and provide quotes), and details of your enquiry or job. We also automatically collect some technical information when you browse the site, such as your browser type, approximate location, and how you interact with the pages, using cookies — see the Cookies section below.
Why we process your data:
We use your information to respond to enquiries, arrange and carry out basement pump servicing, emergency call-outs and installations, issue invoices, and keep accurate records of work carried out at your property. We do this on the basis of performance of a contract (to deliver services you've asked for), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries and keeping accurate job records), and legal obligation (keeping financial records for tax purposes).
Who we share it with:
We use ServiceM8 (job scheduling), Xero (accounting and invoicing) and Tide (business banking) to run the business, and each of these processes personal data on our behalf. Your information may be processed outside the UK by these providers, in which case appropriate safeguards apply. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it:
We keep customer and job records for as long as you remain an active customer, and for 6 years afterwards to meet HMRC and accounting record-keeping requirements.
Your rights:
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
Be informed about how your data is used
Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Have inaccurate data corrected
Have your data deleted
Restrict or object to certain processing
Data portability
Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data
